In support of Greater Philadelphia Cares's Fairmount Park Day effort, BUILDING BLOX helped gather trash and recycling and paint benches and the utility shed at Mifflin Park in South Philly. This neglected park was strewn with trash and recycling when we arrived, but by the time we left, it was looking top-notch. All told, 15 volunteers collected more than 40 bags of trash and 10 bags of recycling. Much thanks to the Phila. Department of Parks, which supervised and provided valuable support for this cleanup effort.
